Zebra Blinds

About zebra blinds

Zebra blinds, sometimes called dual or banded shades, are made from two layers of fabric with alternating sheer and solid stripes. Move the layers so the sheer bands line up and daylight streams through. Shift them so the solid bands overlap and the room gains privacy.

They suit modern Calgary homes because they suit clean, modern rooms and handle our bright days well. You can soften strong afternoon sun without lowering the whole shade, then close them fully in the evening.

Zebra blinds come in a wide range of colours and textures, from crisp whites to warm linens and deeper greys. Our consultation is the easiest way to see how a sample looks against your walls and floors.

Because the bands can be adjusted at any height, zebra blinds also work well in rooms that face a neighbour or a busy street. You can keep the view at eye level softly screened while the top of the window lets in plenty of light, which is handy in tightly spaced Calgary communities.
